Lead Team Round Up

Hey guys,

So here is a summary of the last few lead team meetings (Elementary and K-12):

• Be prepared for your first Marzano PLC discussion by reading Chapter 1 of The Art and Science of Teaching. See Lynda's emails for further clarification. You should expect to hear from your PLC first round leader for information about where you will meet on Wednesday.

• We are gearing up for this year's inquiry projects. This is a voluntary thing, but the expectation is that everyone is doing an "inquiry" whether formally following the process or not. Please remember that as you think toward promotion/career milestones, teacher inquiry is a part of that process. Stay tuned for more details from Mickey.

• We have several TAGs (Teacher Advisory Groups) coming up. We will seek volunteers/elect representatives at Elementary Division, but here they are so you can see them.

1. PK By-laws committee - helping create PK's by-laws to establish governing procedures.

1. Stipends committee - to look develop formulas for determining which extra-curricular assignments receive stipends and how much. The decisions would be effective for the 2012-2013 school year.
