Hey guys,
So even though we didn't have an Elem Meeting this week, our proposal for our first Professional Learning project is due next Wednesday. There is a K12 Faculty Meeting which means Elementary Lead Team will meet and review the proposals.
SO - we need to get cracking on getting this written. I'm putting a link to the proposal form. Its a Word document adapted from the one we used this summer. I know we all have a lot on our plates right now with the beginning of the year, but we need to work together to get this done. I think maybe doing it virtually is the better route, and then we can work through the details at our meeting on Tuesday. Who is willing to spearhead the operation? I think we could possibly split it up and have different people write the paragraphs for the different questions and then piece it together on Tuesday. So all we need is someone to look through the proposal document and split it up among us, giving each person a piece to write (don't forget about Brian).
Please let me know ASAP if you are willing to be the one to organize this. If we have the information split up and given out by the weekend, we can each work on our part at our own pace and bring it all together on Tuesday.

What is are proposal for? Our next reading unit? Math? something about learning communities and moving forward with mixed aged?

ReplyDeleteCarrie May volunteered to split up the sections. Look for an email today and plea work on your section. We are working on our Civil War Unit next, so you can use our American Revolution proposal as a guide (it is available in the Dropbox). If we all have our sections ready by Tuesday, we can piece it together and turn it in. We'll have several Wednesdays to actually work on the work, this is just to get the proposal turned in. I thought we'd rather this than an hour long meeting where one person types, and everyone else is just sitting there. This seems like a better use of our time. :) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteBTW - I renamed the Elementary Proposal: 4-5 LC Civil War Project Proposal.
ReplyDeleteI already put my contribution into the document, and placed it in our 4/5 LC dropbox folder (in the 2011 PD Proposals subfolder).
To save time tomorrow, and to keep everything on one document, try and copy/paste your portion into the 4-5 LC Civil War Project Proposal.
