I haven't posted in a while since we've been seeing each other every day. But here are the notes that affect us from our Elementary Lead Team last week. I've left off notes regarding items that we've already accomplished (like class letter for Meet Your Teacher).
· Meet Your Teachers
o Friday, August 19 from 11-1.
o There will be a meeting in the CC at one o’clock. Please do not stay in your room.
· Open House
o Tuesday, September 13 from 5:30-7:30
o Meet in PAC at 5:30
o There will be two 45 minute sessions
§ 6:00-6:45
§ 6:45-7:30
· Wacky Wednesday
o Wacky Wednesdays will continue as they did last year with two back to back weeks.
o There will be six rotations this year: Music, Art, PE, Guidance, Library, and Drama.
o The groups will be mixed among the Learning Community, but there will only be 22 per group this year.
· Professional Learning
o Our Wacky Wednesday time will be used to continue our work on AFL.
o Wednesday afternoons will be used for work that we determine as a group.
§ It will follow a similar process as the summer proposal work. This includes submitting a proposal and presenting our collective work to the elementary faculty.
§ We will have four proposal rotations throughout the year.
· Classroom Assistants
o There will be one classroom assistant for Kindergarten (Sandra) and one for First Grade (Kim).
o Mr. Dodge will serve as an Elementary Assistant which includes his duties on the front circle, collecting lunch money, lunch duty, and other duties as assigned.
