Busy Week ahead

Hey guys,

There are a lot of things that are happening this week.

1. I am working with Ashlea Zeller and Tom Beyer on Monday in order to compile the by-laws and TELT information into a document that can be voted on by the faculty.  I will have a substitute for the day.
2. Interview Committee - we have been asked to have a representative on the Interview Committee for the elementary positions.  From what I can tell in Lynda's email, the idea is that the positions will be listed as elementary rather than specific grade levels.  Therefore, it is best to have representatives from each Learning Community.  Thus far Macy, Brian, and Carrie have expressed an interest.  We are going to vote via secret ballot with Ginny to make sure that the vote is above reproach.  I think it is best to vote on a rep and an alternate so that once we know dates for interviews, if the first person has to pull out we don't have to re-vote.  If anyone else is interested, please let me know by the end of the day on Monday and I will get with Ginny regarding the voting timeline.
3. Ribbon Cutting - This Friday is the official ribbon cutting.  According to last week's Happy Friday email, there will be a student-centered scheduled for a later date.  As a person on the "trailblazers" team for designing the building, Lynda has asked for me to be present from 10:45-1 on Friday.  However, subs are maxed out, so we'll need to work out a way for me to be covered.  This piece is mostly a 5th grade issue, but I think it can be worked out pretty easily.  The only extra piece is if Brian is available to help with coverage.  If not, we will work it out a different way.  Brian, please let me know in a comment whether this is possible for you or not.
4. Principal Interviews - The rest of the interviews are happening this week.  I am unable to find the schedule at the moment, but know that they are happening this week.
5. CBMs are happening.  Our schedules don't really mesh on this front, so please be aware that there will be some scheduling shifts where Brian is concerned since we he has to help administer both fourth and fifth grade.
